Surgeon Vice Admiral V.K. Singh, the director general of the Armed Forces Medical Services, presented the trophy here Tuesday to centre commandant Maj. Gen. S.B. Sehajpal. The rolling trophy will be awarded every year to the best performing dental unit of the army, navy and air force at the command level.The trophy has been introduced to generate healthy competition among the command-level armed forces dental units in areas like improving patient care, general hygiene and sanitation, infection control standards, bio-waste disposal and to improve the standard of dental treatment being imparted to the troops and their dependents, a defence ministry release said.... | |
