In a testimony in front of the Select Committee on Tobacco Settlement, Hill presented the facts surrounding Pennsylvania's and the nation's leading cancer killer, and urged that lung cancer no longer be ignored or under-funded. "My goal in appearing before the Select Committee," said Hill, "was to elevate awareness and to call upon Senators and other public health leaders to ensure that lung cancer no longer be stigmatized, ignored, or under-funded. Paul McGinley, Clarke's closest friend, has however withdrawn."Darren made it clear he wanted the players to play," Harrington told the Irish Independent. "Travelling over here I wasn't too sure what the situation was going to be."I think my decision would be different if I was still at home but in view of what Darren has said, I've decided to stay. The amount spent per fatality is $212,300 for HIV/AIDS, whereas that for cancer is only $14,006. That's over $15 on AIDS research for every $1 for cancer research. Which seems the greatest threat?
