(CEPH.O: Quote, Profile, Research) on Tuesday said Wall Street is underestimating the potential of the company's experimental cancer drugs, including treatments for leukemia and lymphoma likely to be submitted for marketing approval in 2008. Jeffry Vaught said in an interview that Treanda, a nitrogen mustard being tested for non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, has potential to achieve annual sales of $300 million to $500 million. "Data suggest that over time, Treanda could become a replacement for a variety of the nitrogen mustards" already on the market, he said. Vaught said Cephalon's drug CEP-701 for acute myelogenous leukemia, if approved, could achieve peak annual sales of $200 million and give the company's fledgling cancer-drug sales force another product to market to oncologists.... | |
